Installing a Network Bitlock
Step One:
Log into your Gemini Solutions account to gain access to the downloads section. Click "login" here or in the upper right portion of the site. See Creating a Website Account if you do not have one or Forgot Password to regain access to an existing account.
Step Two:
Download the
ServerSetup.exe file from the downloads section. Alternatively the path is downloads --> full install --> server information for IT --> then save the serversetup.exe file.
Step Three:
Plug the red network bit lock into your server machine then run the serversetup.exe file. This exe will install:
1. All necessary drivers
2. The Hasp License Manager program. This program serves the licenses.
Note 1: Install the Hasp License manager software as a SERVICE not an application.
Note 2: You must select "create firewall rules to enable these ports"
3. The Aladdin License Monitor program. This program allow you to see the following
· Which programs are available on the network
· How many seats of each program are checked out at the time the monitor is checked
· Whch user (via IP address) is checking out the software
· The amount of time left before time-out if a user leaves the machine idle
Note: Select yes when prompted about the backup feature.
Troubleshooting:
Error message HASP not Found. There are two common reasons for this error.
1. The most common is that the license manager is simply not on. If you installed it as a service double check inside the msconfig --> services directory to see if "sentinel local license manager" is active. If it's installed as an application just check in the app window in the lower right corner to see if its on. Also check if the engineers machine is connected to the network in general.
2. The other likely scenario is a security measure blocked the HASP program. This can be fixed by dropping the appropriate .INI file into the windows folder. Below is a link to the HASP website which has the .INI text file templates you will need configured for different network types.

Paste your corrected INI text file into C:\Windows\SysWOW64 or System32 depending. It's also a good idea to put the .INI files inside the program files/gemini solutions/ folder for safe keeping.
