School Overview

*Prerequisite - Merlin and Apprentice Basic School and Advanced School 1

The 3-day school is a continuation of Parts 1 and 2.  Students should have either attended Parts 1 and 2, or completed several full field simulation projects with the GSI products.

Students will learn all of the new features integrated within our products over the previous 12 months, and cover a variety of advanced features in all of our products.

Advanced Merlin features:

  • our regions calculator
  • incorporating meaningful statistics
  • well test analysis
  • horizontal well layering in full field coning situations
  • hydraulic fracture modeling
  • integration/analysis of continuous down hole pressure data

Advanced Apprentice features:

  • integrating well surveys
  • perforation intervals
  • import data formats from other packages
  • grid to grid operations

Advanced Avalon features:

  • sub-sea flow line
  • tubing
  • riser integration
  • gas lift applications

Graduating students will be functional in all of the features in Merlin, Apprentice and Avalon.  A Prophet data filtering problem is included for interested parties.
